I received my Ph.D. and M.S. degrees from Northeastern University (CN) under the supervision of Prof. XIAO Tong and Prof. ZHU Jingbo (NEUNLP Lab). I also earned my B.S. degree from Northeastern University (CN), where I was affiliated with the NEU-RTES Lab. Additionally, I am passionate about contributing to our NLP community. I have served as an area chair for several academic conferences, including ACL ARR and CCL. I am currently serving as a fixed-term chair of WiNLP (ACL-affiliated affinity group), with the aim of promoting and supporting the ideas and voices of underrepresented groups. NEWS

Currently Working On
I am currently preparing a series of trilingual video tutorials in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin on low-resource task adaptation for large language models. Through this work, I hope to encourage broader research on real-world NLP tasks for AI for social good and underrepresented communities 🤝. Based in Hong Kong, I am also interested in Hong Kong Sign Language and hope to explore how LLM technologies can support deaf and hard-of-hearing communities, while contributing to the preservation of Cantonese-related local language and culture. I look forward to future collaboration with researchers in this area and to exploring potential research projects together :)

I love my hometown (Northeast China). I grew up in Anshan and completed my entire higher education in Shenyang over 11 years. People there are very warm and friendly — always cheerful and full of positive energy. I’m so grateful for inheriting the Northeastern Chinese spirit that supports me in any situation.

Now, I live and work in Hong Kong 🇭🇰. This is also an amazing city. Its remarkable diversity, incredible inclusiveness, magnificent urban and natural landscapes — all these unique features make me proud and happy to be part of this community. Additionally, I’m learning Cantonese. Every time my local neighbors compliment my Cantonese, like “你而家廣東話講得叻好多喇 (Your Cantonese is much better now)”, it always makes my day!

With best wishes to my parents and everyone close to my heart. 🤞
